What's new as of... Friday 27th June, 2025

• Uploaded one of my new "Twenty Years After" fics (an unexpected side-effect of encountering the 'Soviet Musketeers'!) and created a parent page in case I get round to uploading the other two...
• Got round to manually removing a whole lot of obsolete Vlexofree linkback tags from various fiction pages, now that the site is no longer hosted by Vlexofree. The rest of the site will have to wait.
• Uploaded another Love Never Dies story, Redemption.
• Added another photo album with some rather grainy early-morning shots of the 2023 London-Brighton Run
• Uploaded another Phantom story, A Family Man.
• Corrected broken links — I had forgotten that DutchS had bought the sonniehale.com domain for me, which has of course long since expired... and the Damfinos site has evidently moved.
• Added a discussion page to "Count Philippe Takes a Hand".
• Uploaded more Phantom stories, "This Mask of Death" and "Newly Wed".
• Added character discussion page to A Necessary Evil.
• Uploaded a Crimson Peak fanfiction page.
• Uploaded my two Frozen fanfiction stories.
• Uploaded some more of my past Phantom of the Opera stories after getting locked out of my fanfiction.net account — "The Man Who Knew Too Much", "The Writing on the Wall", and "Count Philippe Takes a Hand".
• Moved site to another new hosting service after Vlexofree closed down - has it really been ten years? Fixed a broken link on this page (to the Punch Bowl article) while I was at it!
• Uploaded fan art drawn for "Teach Me to Live", and corrected the actual links to the chapters, which should have been case-sensitive!
• Uploaded a new "Love Never Dies" story, Teach Me to Live, complete with discussions this time.
• Added a new story based on the opera Carmen, The Girl He Left Behind Him
• Slightly updated character discussion for Waiting in the Wings
• Uploaded a new "Love Never Dies" story, To Ease Your Troubled Mind
• Added detailed character discussions to both Waiting in the Wings and The Choices of Raoul de Chagny, mainly for my own archive reference as I very much doubt anyone else will ever read them...
• Finally uploaded my latest Blake's 7 "Synchrowatch" review (now very 'asynchro'-watch!) The episode is Breakdown from Series 1.
• Uploaded Waiting in the Wings, another "Love Never Dies" story.
• Uploaded my new Phantom of the Opera and Love never Dies fan-fiction stories.
• Added to lookalikes.
• Added detailed (albeit somewhat partisan) description of Sonnie's role in the film "My Song for You"
• Just for fun, uploaded my page of Sonnie Hale lookalikes.
• Finally got round to uploading some of my 1920s newspaper coverage collection (and linked in an orphan page of pre-war photos of Sonnie).
• Added to coverage of Sonnie Hale and The French Mistress.
• Sonnie Hale and The Punch Bowl: newspaper coverage of Sonnie's first big personal success.
• All the material I've been able to find re Sonnie in silent films
• Added further fascinating Glasgow stories.
• Added newspaper article contributed by Sonnie Hale in 1925.
• Added sample review citations to various stories (if people are going to say wonderful things about you, why waste them? )
